Tile - Concrete or Clay

Concrete tile is weakened and eroded by acid rain and, although clay tile has good acid resistance, it is as vulnerable as concrete to freeze-thaw deterioration, impact fracture, and microbiologically accelerated weathering. Acrylic caulk is used to seal gaps, and Polaroof SP PVC coating is used as an adhesive to repair broken tiles. The tile surfaces are primed and sealed with Polaprime 2 PVC/acrylic primer, then two coats of Polaroof SP PVC coating are applied by brush or spray to completely encapsulate the roof with a waterproof, protective finish in a color to match the tile.
